This section of the BTHA website is dedicated to helping students and teachers who would like to either use toys as an example or case study for their course, or would eventually like to join the toy industry as a destination career. This information is compiled for use by both schools and colleges. It is not intended for business students requiring more in-depth information. They are advised to seek assistance from a good reference library able to access commercial reports by research companies such as Mintel, Euromonitor and others.
There are resources for teachers of Key Stage 1 History through to guides for GCSE and university design course students. Click on the navigation to take you through to the area you are interested in. You may also find useful information on the consumer section of the website by clicking here.
The BTHA also runs its own education programme for its members under the banner of the Lion Mark Education Programme. Members attend workshops and seminars to share and increase their knowledge on a range of topics that make up the association's code of conduct; from safety and ethical manufacture to advertising and packaging. If you are a member and would like to find out more about the Lion Mark Programme click here.
