The “Publicly Available Specification” for batteries is undergoing a revision.
PAS 7055:2025 is now out for its 4 week consultation.
BSI is encouraging comments to be collected by trade associations so anyone who would like to comment on this document can send comments through to Jerry Burnie (jerry.burnie@i-q-s.co.uk) or Wendy Phillips (wendy@toysafetyexperts.com). Members are of course free to comment directly.

The closing date for consultation is midnight 28 October 2024 therefore if you are supplying comments to the BTHA the deadline for these is 18th October
Note: Although Toys remain out of scope of this specification, the designation of BS EN 62115 electrical safety of toys is accompanied by a note encouraging members to follow certain additional voluntary measures found in this PAS.
