Toy Industries of Europe produce a document with useful facts and figures for the toy industry which you can download here.

The National Association of Toy & Leisure Libraries (Play Matters) www.natll.org.uk produces a useful directory of toys.

Toy museums are dotted all over Britain and can sometimes help. You could also try the V&A Museum of Childhood for more information: www.vam.ac.uk.

Main libraries may be able to make toy standards available under reference BS 5665 and EN 71.
