Conflict Materials

In November 2016, EU regulation on conflict materials was agreed. It proposed that all but the smallest EU importers of tin, tungsten, tantalum, gold and their ores will have to do “due diligence” checks on their suppliers from January 2021. We have provided a guidance document for our members to help them understand what conflict materials are, whether they are used in the toy industry, and the measures that can be taken to understand source materials.
